The questions people actually ask.
What is a tokenized stock?
A token that tracks a listed share one-for-one and lives in your wallet instead of a brokerage account. On Robinhood Chain they are ordinary ERC-20 contracts — NVDA alone has more than 88,000 holders — which is exactly why one can be spent at a checkout.
What happens on chain when I pay?
One transfer() call on the stock's contract, from your address to the StockPay treasury, for the share count on your quote. We then read the receipt back off the chain — token, recipient and amount — and only call it an order once it has three confirmations.
Do I have to sell my shares first?
No. That is the whole point. You sign the order, and the sale, the payment and the purchase happen inside one flow. You never touch an exchange or a bank transfer.
What if the price moves during checkout?
Your order carries the quote it was signed at. Small drift is absorbed by the quote window; anything larger and the order simply doesn't settle, so you are never charged more shares than you agreed to.
Which stores work?
Amazon, eBay and 50+ major retailers today, with new merchants added weekly. If a store publishes a normal product page, we can usually read it — paste a link and see.
Where do you ship?
